Prometheus is currently accepting paper submissions for our academic journal and for our mid-atlantic undergraduate philosophy conference. We are NOT accepting online journal submissions at this time.  Deadlines are as follows:

Academic Journal
Deadline: Thursday, January 15, 2015. (Please note that the deadline has been pushed back from the original January 1).
Paper length: 10-30 double-spaced pages.  If shorter than 10 pages, please email for further information.
Abstract: 100-200 words

Online Journal
Currently we are not accepting submissions for our online journal. Please check back later.

Mid-Atlantic Undergraduate Philosophy Conference
Deadline: January 15, 2015
Paper length: No more than 10 pages
Abstract: 50-200 words

Submission Guidelines:
– You must be an undergraduate or graduating senior to submit a paper.
– Submissions must be original work of the author. Essays written for classes, honors theses, and independent work are all welcome. Please adjust essays such that no previous background is required (explain all terminology; do not assume background).
– Submissions should be philosophical papers (as opposed to historical or any other type of paper), but can cover any topic in philosophy.
– All papers should be double-spaced in MLA format with proper citations.

Submitting a Paper:
– Submit an electronic copy of your paper to either in .doc or .docx format.
– The subject lines of your emails should read as one of the following:

  • Paper Submission: Academic Journal
  • Paper Submission: Online Journal
  • Paper Submission: Mid-Atlantic Conference

– Please attach a cover paper in a SEPARATE DOCUMENT with the following information:

  • Name
  • University or College
  • Major or Degree
  • Year of Expected Graduation
  • Email
Your personal information should not be included in the paper document, only in the cover page.
